Starting on-screen keyboard from GRUB (or before login)

Postby ajaymt on Tue Apr 16, 2013 7:00 am

So I recently installed Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon Edition (64-bit) on my late 2011 iMac. I had to install blueman on the boot disk to pair with my Apple Wireless Keyboard before installing Mint. But, blueman still wasn't installed on the actual Mint installation (not the boot disk). Now, I can't pair with my keyboard so that I can log in.

I was wondering if there's any way to start an on-screen keyboard before I log in. I haven't seen a way to do it from the log-in screen, so I was wondering if it is possible to do it from GRUB (either start an on-screen keyboard, or pair with my keyboard). If there isn't a solution like this, I'll probably have to re-install Mint and tell it to log me in automatically so that I can find a work-around.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
