Boot error: "XPINF is missing"

Postby Yaotzin on Thu Apr 18, 2013 7:31 am

I have Win7 and installed Linux Mint. I got a new external HD and cleaned internal drives transferring mainly all media files (photos, videos) to the external drive. I didn't remove any system files from anywhere.. or at least that's what I thought.

I restarted my computer and it doesn't even get to boot menu before halting and giving this message:

XPINF is missing
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

Did a google search and got zero results. Does anyone have any idea about what's going on? Could this be Mint related?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
