Network install issues (unable to mout root fs)

Postby Orthus on Tue Apr 23, 2013 2:18 am

I was not sure which sub-forum to post this into since it is both a networking and an install issue. So please forgive me for not posting in the correct section.

I am currently trying to install linux mint 14 kde over top of a corrupted centos install. On to my acer aspire one (d257-1417) over my network. I am currently using my desktop which is running windows 7 with the serva64 (tftp/pxe software). Currently I am using this as my config settings. obviously something is wrong with it.

here is a type up of what my netbook is displaying:
Code: Select all
Kernel panic = not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
Pid: 1, comm: swapper Not tainted 2.6.32-358.2.1.el6.x86_64 #1
