DVD-RW cannot be mounted- Help- I may loose my life!

Post by goldstar1 »

Okay...I saved my stuff on a DVD-RW disc using the defaulted cd/dvd-rw burner that came with Celena (Nuatilus?) so I could place them back into my /home directory after doing a fresh install of Ellesa. Would you know it, I can tell that the files were burned on the DVD-RW disc, but, I get a message that the DVD-RW cannot be mounted. It mounts when there's a 'Blank" DVD-RW disc, but once something gets written on that DVD-RW disc, well, heaven forbid, nothing, and I mean nothing, nothing on Suse10.3, not PCLinux, windowsXP (of course that can be expected) and lastly Mint, can seem to open up what was placed on those discs. What on earth do I do now?
