I thought I would like to install Mint 5. I now have Mint 4 main edition.
Is there a easy to understand guide to make a fresh install, yet keeping my old home partition as my new home (because I have my music, my pictures, my e-mail and so on here)?

If you already have a separate /home partition, you can tell the installer to mount it as /home, but not to format it. If you don't, you can create one: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/separatehome

Now I installed Mint 5, mounting my existing home partition as /home.
It went ok to create the primary user during the installation.
I am not able to create/add new users though.
