with Mint4 I had no problems.
Mint4 found all my partitions
incl. Windows NTFS. I could write and read.
Now after install Mint5 the trouble comes up:
No automount on my computer,
on the computer of my son no automount,
my son doesn't get permissions to read and write on his own
Windows FAT 32 partitions.
So I need help please.
Perhaps anybody can say where.
Or should I go back to Mint4?
Hi Husse, why does it change in Elyssa? Why no automount? Please give the information how and what I have to change in fstab.Husse wrote:The behavior for mounting partitions has changed with Elyssa
No partitions are mounted in fstab, so no partitions automount....
If you want the partitions to be mounted at boot time you have to add them in fstab - if you don't know how - just ask and we will help you
mintDisk is not for Elyssa, I think you'll get problems if you install it
, why does it change in Elyssa?
gksu gedit /etc/fstab
/dev/sda1 /media/sda1 ntfs defaults,umask=007,gid=46 0 1
sudo mkdir /media/sda1
