Fresh Install of LM Elyssa [Thanks for the advice!]

I just downloaded Elyssa and I have some questions regarding a fresh install since that is the advised method. Is it possible to install it to the root without loosing all of my info in the home directory? When I installed Daryna, it was on a newly created partition. My system consists of a Dell E1505 with 1 GM of memory. The harddrive is set up in a dual boot with Vista Pro Home. I'm a little intimidated by attempting the new install without royally screwing up my Linux OS. Any insight or suggestions will be much appreciated.

If you have a separate home partition you will keep all your data - just move all the hidden folders in home into a folder first
