Where is real player!

Postby maadamos61 on Sun Mar 04, 2007 4:07 pm

Installed disc from osdisc.com. Could not find Real Player or adobe flash player. Was Real player omitted on this new version or could this be a problem with the disc tah I got from the seller? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks for any help.

Any reason why it was not included in Bianca. I do believe that it was installed in Bea, because I got it from the list of software. What is the easiest way to install Real player and flash player in Bianca? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Open up Synaptic, and search for realplay. Mark it for installation then click apply, and that's pretty much it. It should now show up in mintmenu (if not, then right-click on the menu and select "Reload Plugins".

Flashplayer should already be installed. If it's not working for some reason, you can also find it in synaptic as flashplugin-nonfree (for firefox) and flashplayer-nonfree (standalone player).

In my version of Bianca RealPlayer is in this repo:

## CANONICAL COMMERCIAL REPOSITORY (Hosted on Canonical servers, not Ubuntu
## servers. RealPlayer10, Opera, DesktopSecure and more to come.)
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu edgy-commercial main

You can install with either Adept or Synaptic after adding or enabling this repo. Also in my Bianca this repo came with install [the only repo I've added is Swiftfox deb]. I can't remember if I had to enable it or not. To enable a repo just remove the # from the line with the actual repo url.
Thanks,
