Uninstalling from Exernal USB Drive

Hi, I'm just wondering how to uninstall from an external USB hard drive so that it doesn't try and boot from there anymore (ie it should just work as storage space, and the boot sequence go on to look on the internal drive on my laptop). Any ideas?

I have and external USB drive, and have
set my Bios:

First boot device = CDRom
Second boot device = Harddisc 1
Third boot device = Hardisc 1
Seek other devices = No

That works fine for me
