I am having a problem installing Mint 5 onto my laptop. The Live CD boot ok but when I click install the CD spins and after about 5 mins a blank window appears but then nothing else happens except the CD continues to spin up, slow down, spin up, slow down continuously with the head moving about. This is the second CD I have tried with the same result. The laptop has a P3 933Mhz cpu, 512Mb Ram & 20Gb HDD. Would anyone have an idea what may be causing this problem.
Can you upgrade the memory ???
