GRUB2 color scheme changes not being applied

Postby winsomelosesome on Tue Jun 24, 2014 2:55 pm

Hi I'm currently trying to change my Grub2 color theme while having a picture present and am having trouble getting all the colors to change properly by editing the /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme config file and then running the sudo update-grub commnad also here is an example of my 05_debian_theme config file
if [ -z "${2}" ] && [ -z "${3}" ]; then
# echo " true"
echo "set color_normal=red/black"
echo "set color_highlight=red/yellow"
or
if [ -z "${2}" ] && [ -z "${3}" ]; then
# echo " true"
echo "set color_normal=red/black"
echo "set menu_color_normal=red/black"
echo "set menu_color_highlight=red/yellow"
While using the Grub2 command line with these commands get the job done
set color_normal=red/black

set menu_color_normal=red/black

set menu_color_highlight=red/yellow
But this command does nothing
set color_highlight=red/yellow
