install mint on ubuntu system
Have an amd system with ubuntu hardy installed. Have plenty of RAM (2 GB) and HD (320 GB). Want to install Mint as a dual boot. How exactly do I do that? Seems like there would be a post on these forums about that, but have only had luck finding info on dual mint/vista or xp set-ups. Just follow the live cd? Shared swap partitions? Help!

Re: install mint on ubuntu system
Follow the liveCD. Use Manual Partition option. Shared swap partition. Only one is necessary. No more than 2gb of swap is necessary. You may share the same /home partition, although I don't generally recommend it and doing this has problems if you have different versions of the same applications installed on each install partition (which inevitably happens).
