Problems with running Live Disc

Dear Friends
I need your help with the following. I have a Samsung R60 plus and I cannot run any Linux mint Live disc on it, nor get far enough to install. What happens is that I get so far and i get the line : mint@mint: assuming drive cash, and this goes on for some time.
