Linux Mint 17/17.1 Won't install via USB

Post by thetri »

I can boot into the live system but when I go to install it does not detect my harddrive and tries to install itself on the same USB it is running off. This only happens in Linux Mint 17/17.1 flavours. I have tried MATE, XFCE and Cinnamon 32 bit and 64 bit. Other distros like Ubuntu install fine. Showing my specs would be pointless as it does this on any computer I try it on. I've tried a total of 15 PCs. Is there anyway to fix this issue? I want Mint on my system as it is my favorite. I tried installing Xubuntu and using synaptic to turn it into Mint but it became a unstable mess.
