hi
i've got a dual boot winxp and linux felicia on the first hd sata 160 gig
i have 3 hard drives : two sata 160 gig and 1 ata 250 gig
the 2 OS are on the first sata disk 0

under winxp :
winxp system partition is named F:
the second disk (non system) is C: and was containing data before the install
the whole first one (disk0) has been formated during winxp install and then repartitionned for linux

under felicia :
it worked (i was able to access with felicia the files on the non system ntfs disk) until i renamed - under winxp session- my C: (non system) hd into an other letter
i did it because some applications need the system to be 'C:' for installing, such as flash...

then i tried to rename my winxp system partion with this freed letter ( C:)
but" it is not allowed to rename a system partition..."

so i renamed 'C:' my disk without system

then i booted on felicia
this time i can see the files on the non system disk but not open it
this is boring

and in fact i have a doubt : both systems are on disque 0, but could the MBR be on disk 1?...could that explain something?

------------------------------------------------------------
my second problem is worst (if could be)

the third hd, ata 250 gig, is connected, recognised by bios, and by felicia as live system
but no by any of the installed systems (winxp nor felicia)
with felicia live i had a message that 'the drive has not been correctly unmounted'

the store guy installed an then unistalled 'just to see if it works' windows vista on my two sata drives
question : how to make the ata drive work again?

thank you for helping
