hi sorry, My host OS is Windows Vista. I was trying to dual boot Linux Mint and Vista. So I tried to shrink the Vista's partitions for Mint.
I think I figured out the problem. I was trying to free up about 70 Gb(70,000 kb?) which is the amount that windows allow my partition to shrink. However, I got access denied when I tried to shrink that much space. So I tried shrinking 30 Gb instead and It worked!
I am using linux Mint now. It's great. It runs much more robustly then ubuntu. Also the Mint's menu works better and faster than ubuntu's menu and there are little changes that makes Linux Mint a more efficient OS.(for examples: being able to uninstall an app when you right click, or the better search filter built on the menu) And as a bonus Mint looks really modern with its slick design. And I am just using the theme right out of the box, It is great.
Thank you, Linux Mint team for all your hard work.
