Linux Mint Forums

When I update my new install of Mint kde mini,adept offered the advice that a newer version of kubuntu was available and wondered if i wished to upgrade to that version,

If i accepted their offer would it break anything within Mint-Linux? I know it is based upon Kubuntu anyway,but thought I should ask first.
