Vista won't boot

I get the option for Windows vista/longhorn on the boot screen, but when selected it just says "starting up" with a flashing cursor.

The installation worked fine, and mint runs perfectly.

I checked my partitions in mint, and I don't think I put anything out of place.

any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Do you use mint4win?
From mint you should be able to see the Vista partition
I discover I don't know enough about the Vista boot to tell what to look for - it's different from XP which I know well

While booted into Mint go to terminal and post the output of:

sudo fdisk -l


and also:
