Hi,
I just installed linux mint 6 fluxbox. I have 2 harddrives.
sda1 has 230GB and this is where i allocated my home partition (ext3)
sdb is divided into 3 primary partitions (because i want to make a triple boot), and one extended (swap).
i installed linux mint to sdb1.
When i first booted up i got an error 15 message right away, even before grub could start.
I fixed this using super grub disc
Now i get the grub menu which shows me 3 options, linux mint 2.6.27-7-generic, same but recovery mode and memtest.
It doesn't matter which one i choose, i always get error 15 - file not found. Googling this error i found out that this means the kernel can not be found.
This is an extraction of my menu.lst:
title Linux Mint 6 Fluxbox CE, kernel 2.6.27-7-generic
root (hd1,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27-7-generic root=/dev/sdb1 ro quiet splash
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.27-7-generic
quiet
title Linux Mint 6 Fluxbox CE, kernel 2.6.27-7-generic (recovery mode)
root (hd1,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27-7-generic root=/dev/sdb1 ro single
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.27-7-generic
title Linux Mint 6 Fluxbox CE, memtest86+
root (hd1,0)
kernel /boot/memtest86+.bin
quiet
the kernel is exactly where menu.lst says it is. How come it can't be found? Can anyone help?
