My youngest daughter (young teen) saw how much fun I have with Mint and how well it works, so she asked me to help her install mint on her machine.
Only took her about 1/2 an hour. Took a bit longer to find the edit to make the wacom tablet work. She edited the xorg.conf file, and saw her first success at the command line and text editor.
This made me start thinking about how much money I can save not upgrading windows to vista. Seems we could all think about donating some of the money we save on upgrades, not to mention the extras that can be spent on other software (virus software, firewall, anti-spyware, etc).
There could be a challenge in here somewhere .... if we all (converts from windows) just donate 10% of that savings it could start to add up!
