grub (linux noob question)

Postby konatafb on Wed Apr 29, 2009 4:46 am

hey,
sorry to bother you all, i'm a long time windows user (98 to Xp to Vista)

I'm liking this operating system already (once you get used to it, had it 2 days)

however if possible could somone give me a step by step instruction on dualboot with vista through grub,
if i remember right it said it was installed with mint but no idea how to config it. want to dual boot with vista 64bit.

seen a couple pages but i have never used linux before so if possible could someone give me a more noobifyed explanation lol

also have a resolution problem but i'll ask about that another time, great operating system, it may fully convert me over time (for now semi-converted hense the dual boot)

EDIT: soz didn;t realise i was in the wrong section when i clicked new topic (multiple tabs)
if anyone can move it, please do :D lol

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

If you install Mint after Vista Mint will take care of it and give you a list of systems to choose from

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
