usb-creator

Has anyone tried using usb-creator to create a bootable mint usb drive? I'm going to give it a shot when Mint 7 comes out. I successfully created a bootable Ubuntu 9.04 USB today. The first time I tried to create it from the cd it failed. The second time I tried creating it from the .iso and it worked. I have a netbook that doesn't have a cd-rom and normally I just pull the hard drive out and plug it into my desktop to install a fresh distro but this time I'd like to try something different. Plus it would be pretty sweet to have Linux Mint 7 in my pocket. :)

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I tried it successfully some time ago and it worked for me. Had to abandon the project as the PC (old school) doesn't support booting from a usb device. Before you invest too much time in this project, you may want to also verify that your laptop supports usb bootup (via the bios).
