I'm sure some one with more experience than me will chime in but as far as I know it's not the best idea to share home partitions since some settings are kept in there. I run multiple Linux installations and I use one /swap partition 6 GB for all installs and then each distro then gets it's own / (root) partition and it's own /home partition. Plus I keep a separate disk formatted to NTFS for /Data.

Poinzy,

Welcome to the Mint community. From your short bio, you will soon become a great asset to us all.

In response to your questions;

1. The two biggest issues I see are;
A. One doesn't normally use the same /home partition for multiple Distros. Many configuration files are stored in hidden folders in /home and you may run into compatibility issues. If you want to share data among several OS it is better to create a separate Data partition and mount this partition in the /home of each OS ( If you format the data partition FAT 32 or NTFS, then both Windows and Linux OS can use it)
B. Your Swap partition is much larger than needed. As a rule, swap should equal ram up to a maximum swap + ram = 4Gig. With 6 Gig of ram the only reason to have any Swap space at all is that sometimes Linux can act unpredictably if there is no Swap. If you intend to use the Hibernate function, you need Swap to equal or slightly exceed ram (In hibernate, entire ram contents are stored in Swap). Otherwise, a nominal Swap of about 256-512 Meg is adequate. One Swap works for all Linux Distros on the computer,

2. I would say, for the most part, yes.
