Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

tonjaa,

You seem to have a well documented problem caused by dissimilar hard drives. Check the Mint Wiki here

http://linuxmint.com/wiki/index.php/If_your_installed_Mint_cannot_boot

for a fix to your problem.

i try to edit etc/fstab in my ATA hard disk install Mint7 but i don't know how to correct way when i go to etc/fstab i saw like this.

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# Use 'vol_id --uuid' to print the universally unique identifier for a
# device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices
# that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# / was on /dev/sda1 during installation
UUID=8c94612b-a000-4a0a-b8ff-7acffe52dc4a / ext3 relatime,errors=remount-ro 0 1
# swap was on /dev/sda5 during installation
UUID=23aab151-7c3f-42d6-94e1-dc49198f1262 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0

i want to know how to edit for boot Mint7 with SATA hard disk with Ubuntu ?
and after edit what i must to do next?
