Dual boot from a USB Flash Drive

Postby readyready on Tue Jun 16, 2009 5:29 pm

Hello all,
I currently run BackTrack 3 from my USB flash drive, however I can't run it on all my computers. I was wondering if anyone koew of way I could dual boot BT3 and Mint from my flash drive. It's 4 gigs so it has plenty of room, any ideas?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Have you tried partitioning the USB? It worked for me. I got an 8Gb flashdrive but could not get mint to persist on anything bigger than a 2Gb partition.

Hey, i did exactly this conf BT3 + Mint on my flash stick , a pity i lost it.

But there's a procedure outta there, it's like you make one partition of 8 MB for grub installation, and 700 MB each partition for live-cd. (my case i installed Mint persistently), i don't remember details but that pendrivelinux.com should surely have the procedure.
