Questions about Grub, UEFI,the liveCD and the installer
Needs to be said: this involves an "alpha tester of ubuntu 9.04" . As most of us know, alpha releases are very unstable and should therefore never be used for your primary computer (so are beta's... ). The article is dated march 19th, and it is said a patch has fixed it. TS: please check your sources before you worry us with topic titles like these....

If I'm not mistaken, patches have been integrated into the new Kernel releases to fix the issue of how certain apps save data w/ext4.

I have converted my drives to ext4 since mint-7 RC-1 was released and have not had a single problem. I just made sure to change my backup routine to daily instead of weekly until I heard things have stabilized.
The instructions suggested Windows XP or better, so I installed Linux :)
