Postby maximilian on Sat Jul 04, 2009 6:45 am

After - loading/casper/initrd.gz ready - the boot stops with a flashing cursor and a kernel panic as the lights on the keyboard are flashing . I have tried everything sofar suggested here - new cd burn, compatability mode etc - . no change. mint6 boots without problems . My lspci output:00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc. Your hardware looks viable (sorry could not help it)
Have you checked the md5sum?
I can't see any reason for this behavior

I don't find much about this chip and Jaunty/Gloria
One suggestion I've seen is to add irqpoll to the boot options
Select Compatibility mode and add irqpoll to the "boot line"
