I have downloaded Cassandra two times now and both times the cd wont boot. The download completes and goes straight to extract, I extract to an empty folder then use K3B to burn the image. What am I doing wrong as I am stumped !

a)Check the md5 sum (the terminal has a built in checker suitably called md5sum)
b) You should not extract anything - you burn an image. Click on the ISO and select "Burn image" (ít could be Burn ISO )
It's built into Bianca by default

GREAT !! I now have Cassandra on my desk. She is looking good, just a problem with my on-board g-force 6100 graphics chip not being supported though I am getting 1024 X 768 screen res !

I have an onboard graphic chip NVidia 6100. This is what Xorg.conf told me

Xorg.conf
Device = Generic video card
Driver = VESA
Bus ID = PCI:0:13:0

Driver = VESA
That's what saves your day sometimes, it's safe graphics mode. You should install the proper driver.
You have Envy in the menu - use it to install the nvidia driver
and you're up and running.
I think D1Wayne has had a go with envy, says he runs it more than once sometimes...
