LiveCD Error

Hey, so when I put the CD in, it will say this thing like cdv/somthing......................................................... and then it makes another line with a different but similar thing. And then it says this error thing like "unable to soft reset" or somthing like that but then it starts into linux mint. I havent installed it yet, so is that why?

Either a corrupted download : check the md5 of your ISO file
Or a burning error : burn again the (md5 checked) ISO file at the lowest speed you can (usually 4x) and tell your burning software to check your disk after burning.

Hey, I tried burning it again on a different CD, and this time I did verify, and then I this error in the log, here look, I dont get it.

AFAIK Imgburner is a good soft. May be a failure of your CD burner

"ataX: softreset failed"? (Where X= a number). If so it's (probably) a bug with ide/sata controllers on some motherboards. If everything appears to work (and your CD burn is OK) then you should try installing.

So it's not a download error.
When you boot from CD, you should get a list with several options : start mint, memory test and so : try "check CD integrity".
