Installation Bluetooth Error

Postby masterofabcs on Mon Aug 31, 2009 10:54 pm

Trying to install Linux Mint.

I'm fairly certain* that I've got a partition going.

The entire process goes very smoothly until -> "Starting Bluetooth"

It simply stops once it reaches that point.

I have tried both compatibility options.

Neither option has worked.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

*I'm not quite sure.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Are you talking about actual installation? Your reference to getting a partition going suggests so. Does this mean you've successfully booted 'live'? Bluetooth is internal? If it's causing trouble you can try disabling it in BIOS (option to config shortly after switching computer on).

You would only bypass live boot if you were really short on memory. How much do you have?
Is your Bluetooth internal? (or USB?) Key to enter BIOS setup should be indicated. Could be F12, F2, F10 or something else.

Plenty, I'm not at the computer in question at the moment.

However, memory should not be an issue.

As for bluethtooth, their is no internal Bluetooth (i explored the BIOS pretty thoroughly)

AND, i have absolutely no hardware which possesses bluetooth capabilities.
