Hi, I have been running Mint 7 Gloria (gnome) for quite sometime now and I would like to do a dual boot with the new Mint 7 XFCE, I tried in the past to install mint 6 xfce and Mint 7 Gloria side by side with alot of confusion. My question is now can I install xfce side by side with my existing Gloria with no problems, I figured I would ask first this time before taking the plunge and losing my data! I was also wondering if I should do any pre partitioning before I do the XFCE installation? Here is my Inxi -f terminal output:

You could just add Xfce to your present 7 install. Just get what you need from the Mint repository and anything additional from synaptic. You would have to work out using GDM or XDM. KDE can also be an addon if you want. You just need to juggle GDM, XDM or KDM.
What info you can't search up here at Mint would be awaiting your search on the Xubuntu site or the Xfce.org site.
Xfce is generally slick and fast. Xubuntu 9.04 is quite nice. I haven't tried the Mint rework.
