Problem logging into Cassandra

Hello everybody!
this is my first post, I am new to Mint and i don't write very much in English... so excuse for any mistake...
I have one big problem starting the first time Cassandra for VmWare: I don't know the user and the password to use for the login!!!



I havn't found them in the forum or in the wiki...

Can someone help me??

The Live CD doesn't ask you that ... And if you installed to the (virtual) harddisk, the username and password are whatever you defined during the installation.

I have something to understand because I didn't downloaded the live cd but direcly the vmware image founded @ http://linuxmint.com/download.html and that image don't do any installation, , just boots up and ask for a user and a password those i was looking for...

try the user name mint and no password.

I have installed the vmware server on a xp system and created an vm and booted mint off it, then installed it once once it loaded.

gotchas: the vm need about 512MB or ram allocated to it and dont go over the recomended max ram due to disk thrashing issues.

I've tryed but Cassandra doesn't let me in...
username mint, without pwd

Now I'm making a new virtual machine from a fresh install that will resolve the issue
