This is a LINUX forum.
You need a WINDOWS forum

This involves LINUX. And what if I need to do something in LM to do this? If I restore the Vista bootloader in Easy BCD, how will it boot to LM from then?

I don't understand what it is you want.
You specifically said you want to use the Vista Bootloader,
not Grub or Easy BCD.

I tried to help by providing you a link to a Vista forum.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.

Did you see the sticky? http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=9922
The guide in the link goes over EasyBCD usage.

Or this: Adding Linux to the Vista Bootloader: http://neosmart.net/wiki/display/EBCD/Linux

And not to be picky but you're not using EasyBCD instead of GRUB. Linux cannot boot without GRUB. Your using EasyBCD instead of GRUB to control what boots.
