Not %100 on the names, but that's how you manage your disks in XP. Just shrink an existing partition, and make a new partition. Doesn't matter what kind or what you call it, you'll nuke it in gparted anyway. Or I suppose you could shrink the partition in XP and make the new one in gparted.
