I am trying to install Mint (Bea) and the only unused partition on my system is hdh3.
My mother board has four ide channels, two on the primary controller which I use for optical drives (DVD burner and CRRW) and an internal zip drive. The second controller is a raid controller (Highpoint) that I have three drives attached to. I do not use the raid functions of the controller.
When installing Bea I can choose manual partition and see the third hard drive (hdh) but when I get to the screen where you assign mount points only the first two drives (hde and hdg) show up. I want the root partion to be hdh3, but can not select this partition in the installer.
Is this a limitation of the Ubuntu installer that Mint uses or am I missing something?
This is a test system with other Linux distros installed, no windows.
Thanks in advance for the help.
