Opening Firefox on startup

Postby mahutchinson on Mon May 17, 2010 5:12 pm

I have installed Mint as default OS on my laptop for my son to use iplayer on Firefox with WOT for protection. I want Firefox to open automatically for him on the iplayer homepage but although there is an option in Mint to open Firefox at startup it's not very useful as it runs before the internet conection is open and the browser simply returns an error. Is there any way of reordering the startup applications so that the internet connects before the browser opens ? If not, the facility to open the browser on startup seems pretty useless.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Just solved this myself - the only thing holding the network connection up was a password request. Making the connection automatic meant it started before the browser opened as required.
