Hi all;
I downloaded LM9 from our local mirror and tried to do a live boot on my LM8 laptop.
It looks normal up to the point where it asks me to login. I can't get past this point as I don't know what the password or user id should be.
Any help would be appreciated..
N.

If it's the same as Mint 8, then...
Name: mint
There is no password, just hit enter.

Re: LM9 amd64 CD (user/password)
Sorry, no joy - no
Is it because I'm trying to do a liveCD on a computer that has LM8 in it's primary partition? True I'm clutching at straws here but the only difference between this and with I did live CD on LM8 is that my primary partition was blank.
Just a thought...

I have the same issue with the 32 bit. I imagine the techies are chuckling over this. They just cannot seem to leave things usable like the previous versions. But it is free.
