Hello,
I downloaded linuxmint 2.0
But i do not have any idea how to burn a bootable image.
Note with XP Pro / Nero 6 oder Drapper Drake and K3B. I just can

In Gnome you can just right click the ISO file and select "burn to disc". There's an option in K3B as well... as for Windows or Nero 6, I really don't know. Use the IRC channel if you need more help.

Wickerman, When you download the Linux Mint iso, it is 1 large file in the region of 680meg in size. If you click on it it will prompt you for a program to open it. Select Nero and it will burn it to a cd, WHICH will be a bootable cd. This is then used to boot your computer and Linux Mint will run from the live cd. You will then get a chance to install to hard disk.

It should be a .iso. At least thats what I downloaded! Strange where did you get it from?

I just clicked the german download mirror link and it clearly says LinuMint-2.0.iso

downloaded it again. Now i got to burn it and the IBM boots.
