Boot to CD-Rom problem

Postby RockinRichman on Wed May 19, 2010 5:06 pm

First let me say I'm a complete noob to linux but I'm loving what I see about Linux Mint 9 so far. I just installed LM9 to dual boot with Windows XP on my Toshiba Satellite laptop and now I can't seem to boot to a live CD. Instead of booting from a CD my computer just goes right to Grub with options to boot to Mint or Windows. I've tried going into the bios and set up the CD-Rom as first in the boot process but it still keeps loading right into Grub. I've tried to load up other live linux CD's such as Ubuntu and also a Windows XP installer without any luck. What am I missing? Any help with this would be appreciated.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
