Mint 9 - installer encounters unrecoverable error

Postby alanmzifa on Wed May 19, 2010 7:27 pm

I'm having problems installing Mint 9. Previously had Mint 7 installed vis mint4win inside XP.
Uninstalled Mint 7 and installed Mint 9.
Process went okay on Windows and I rebooted when prompted.
Boot presented both Windows and Linux Mint options as you'd expect but after selecting Mint it fails to fully boot after presenting the Mint desktop wallpaper (no icons).
I get an error window stating "installer encountered an unrecoverable error and will now reboot"
OK-ing this will send the PC into reboot but same actions follow.
Mint is also missing from the Windows program list.

I tried booting Mint in verbose mode and the point it's getting up to is "Setting sensor limits".

Can anyone help with this problem?
