First off Happy New Year to you all from Downunder.
At last I have Mint working and not freezing up on me I followed your guide for the NVIDIA GLX driver and my machine is humming.Small donation on way

congrats! :-)

is the humming in your machine cause by the fan? is it a desktop or a laptop?

I don't think that the humming was meant to indicate a problem here :wink: "It's humming" = "it's running without problems". That's how I understood it. :wink:
