Mint 9 Live CD is asking for a login.

I'm trying to run Mint 9 live cd on a VIA C-7 based motherboard. At a certain point I'm presented with a screen asking for a login rather than live screen that allows installation. Is the VIA hardware to old for this version of Mint or is there a default userid and password that will allow it to continue?
