dualboot 7 and mint 9. problems during boot

I have a dualboot win7 and mint 9. I got some problems when I boot windows.

This is what happens.

grub menu shows, then I choose win7, win7 bootscreen shows up and boots a little then it restarts. Around 3 restarts then it will successfully boot win7.

I tried to fix this by:

1. removing mint 9 and grub. I reinstalled win7 bootloader and it boots fine. but if i install mint again it will repeat the problems.

2. I also tried installing previews version of mint(version 8 ), and also other editions(kde&xfce). but the problem is still there.

so I think the main problem is grub. Any suggestions?

My 2nd problem.

After I installed mint 9, I updated the system(mintupdate & i also installed video driver). After that the mint Bootscreen looks so ugly. The bootscreen has no background and the linuxmint title shows in white text. Not like the Felicia wallpaper.

It is a grub2 phenomenon.. Some reason grub2 has somekind of influence to winnie`s bootflag. The bootflag fades somehow?

A traditional win98 setup-CD makes a good bootflag for winnies..
