Toshiba laptop usually comes from the factory with Windows installed on First Primary partition ( C:drive ) and also two hidden Primary partitions with Windows back up and Toshiba tools.
For a dual-boot installation , you first reduce the size of C:drive (the partition) to make empty space. Then with a Linux partitioner you create Logical drives of the empty space. I use 7 GB for the Linux target ( / ) , 2 GB for swap partition, and the balance formatted ext4 to mount on /home .

Don't attempt to create another Primary partition, as you will run out of partition numbers.
