You could try if the situation improves if you add the parameter "noapic" to GRUB (that should be the same line where you removed "quiet" ...)codesplice wrote: I disabled the "quiet" boot parameter in GRUB, and it seems that it is hanging up on the section labeled "Waiting on root filesystem".
