Thinkpad X31 - suspend/hibernate

Hi fellas,

I installed Mint 9 on the X31. WLAN, graphics and sound are working, but: suspend / hibernate won't.
Closing the lid triggers suspend but restoring the session isn't possible. It feels like the hd is spinning again but the screen stays black.

Any ideas/hints for me?
