I just received an old IBM PC300PL that does not boot from CD. The specs as I know them right now are: PII, 256Mb ram, 20Gb HDD, 48X cdrom, with windows 98 installed. I have Celena 3.1 on CD, but since the PC won't boot from CD I would like to find out how to install it. Is there a boot floppy that can make this possible? Or do I need to look for a different distribution?
I did try updating the bios, but it gave me an error of not enough memory.
Edit: correction on the memory, it is only 128Mb pc700. I may try a memory stick from one of my other systems.
