Hi,
I just 'upgraded' my dual boot Suse10/Vista with Linux Mint9. Mint and Suse both work, but Vista goes into recovery mode and just freezes. I can see the windows files in Mint, and even open my OO files. The Mint installer told me that it was just overwriting part of the Suse install, but the boot system (GRUB?) looks different. I am a gui guy, but don't mind cut and pasting into the terminal. any help would be greatly appreciated as all my files for the students are in Vista (also can't get Smart Technologies Notebook running in Linux)
I have a Toshiba Satellite 320G, 3G
Thanks

Re: Vista recovery mode in bootloader
Most Toshibas have two hidden Primary partitions in addition to the working C:drive.
What is your partrition layout.
I presume your Suse and Mint are both installed on Logical partitions.
