SOLVED Disk error 32

[Georgia boy]

tried to make a Live CD of Mint also to give the neighbor a choice to look at. When I put in the CD and do a restart on pc it will come up to the green screen showing the count down of booting. Then I get " Loading ISO Linux: Disk error 32, AX=4268, drive 9F
Boot failed: Press any key to retry...."

Here are the mid5 sums I downloaded from Mint:

This is what I got when I did the md5 sum from the desktop download:

Something not jiving here. Try another download or did I somehow get the wrong sum checks to compare with? Downloaded from the Tennessee site. Something not right here.

I would suggest a new download from another mirror. Others (including me) have had problems with the UT mirror. I suggest using Dr. Server, I use this mirror regularly with no problems.

Thanks for the response. I'll try to download from the Dr. Server this weekend and see what happens then. Just do another download, md5 sum check it and then burn to CD and hope that all turns out right before giving to neighbor right?

When you burn to CD, remember to use the slowest burn speed available. The ISO file has a great deal of information compressed into a relatively small volume so fast burns can easily cause data corruption. Also, it is a good idea to check the md5 of the CD after burning.

The last thing to do is boot from the CD to the live desktop to be sure it works. The forum is full of stories about downloads and burns that check perfectly with md5, but do not work in the computer.

How do you do an md5 Sum check on the cd after burning to CD? I know dumb one.
