grub boot list

Postby rayz on Sat Oct 06, 2007 8:01 am

I installed Bianca lite by resizing an xp partition and am now dual booting. This is a dual core machine - two drives show up on the install partitioner. Fedora Moonshine is installed on the second core/drive. Its partition shows up as an unknown black area in the partitioner. Both OS use grub. How can I provide previously installed Moonshine (or any other OS) on the grub boot list that the new Bianca install has left me with, so that I can use any one of them?
Thanks

When you have installed Bianca Grub had to settle itself in the MBR and to see the other systems installed. So normally at the starting of your PC should see you all OS installed and you should be able to boot the OS that you want (at boot type the Esc key to see Grub) If not you must add them in /boot/grub/menu.lst

@ rayz
Dual core is something completely different from dual boot!
Dual core is something that some Intel CPUs have (even quad core) dual boot is what you're talking about drives partitions and the like :)
